So I just returned from a stressful shopping trip..near 7mths pg with bad spd and having panic attacks along the way..you get the drift. Anyways taking shopping in and stupidly put my handbag in before the last bag of shopping..My ds 23mths then comes to the door and grins says bye bye and shuts it..no bother me thinks as its on the catch..but mmm it wasnt. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh had to knock next door to use the phone. Called dh at work who told me he couldnt come home..of course this then makes me burst into tears...poor elderly neighbour trying to comfort me. Dh then said his parents might have a key so to phone them..grrrrrr anyways lucky his dad said he 'thought' they did and turned up 20 mins later. When we walk in ds had got all his toys out and was happily sitting on the couch reading the book I had just got him and eating half the french stick I had bought....lol Funny now but at the time I was one stressed lady.

Just keep b r e a t h i n g Nemo

I actually thought this thread being in here was intentional because I think I recall seeing a thread like this just yesterday - about a 22month old locking mummy outside!!

Cadmum · 15/09/2005 13:16

Sorry Nemo!

How stressful (not to mention painful)! At least DS was happy. I am thinking that I would welcome the chance to be locked out of here today!

Want to work out an exchange for a week... DS2 has played with the computer and the only way I can connect to the internet is to mooch off the neighbour?s connection... He has changed the language on the computer to Canadian French and I can?t seem to change it back to English. So the Question Mark looks like É and I can?t use the emoticons etc. etc.

All three little people and I have miserable colds with fevers and my brother arrives from the West Coast today for a visit. This will be the first time since I was married (12 years) that he has seen my house and it is virtually up-side-down with mess and chaos...

Nemo1977 · 15/09/2005 13:20

papillion...funnily enough i read that yesterday and thought phew thank goodness ds has never done that to me...errrrrrrrr maybe chickens counting and hatched comes to mind...lol

Cadmum poor you and especially with all 3 being home.

yes a reminder to watch those thoughts!!

perhaps you need to think.. ds will now bring me a nice hot chocolate and novelette, then play quietly in his room for an hour

Papillon · 15/09/2005 13:24

If you have Mac Cadmum there is a flag top right of your screen where you can change that.. otherwise with PC go to window at bottom left of screen (where you normally go to shutdown computer) and go into settings... should be something there about language preferences.

Nemo1977 · 15/09/2005 13:30

Ds has no fallen asleep...obvioulsy had a hard morning...grrrrrrrr..so am going to try and destress..lol

Thanks Papillon! It is a Mac but the Flag seems to have done a runner! 3 year olds are amazingly talented when it comes to these things!
