Abundant Life Church?

I have recently been to the Abundant Life Church in Bradford and have mixed feelings about it, can anyone tell me about it??

I'd be interested in any views, good or bad, I'm trying to decide what I think about it and need other peoples viewpoints to work with IYSWIM.

Meant to say I'm a name changer as I don't want RL people to know I have been.

From experience I'd say try to ferret out what they actually believe and what their vision/values are, before getting too stuck in to day-to-day church life. Charismatic/new churches vary a lot from fairly liberal and inclusive to really quite conservative.

Just to add I don't have experience of that particular church though.

What are you thinking, OP - good and bad?

I have been on a couple of occasions, but it has been a number of years tbh so I'm not sure what they're like at the moment.

They were very charismatic and lively, but because of the size of the church I felt you could quite easily become lost in the crowd.

The people there seemed very nice, but I felt for me that there was something missing. There also seemed to be an emphasis on the prosperity gospel which I personally don't believe in, so as a church it wasn't really for me.

I think if you have been to this church and didn't feel like it was the place for you, then I would try and find somewhere else. After all, the expression of the love of God is not one size fits all. For some people it's a liturgy at midnight, for others it's skateboarding across a stage.

I haven't been to it, but I know of it.

I attend quite a charismatic church, but it is small, rather than mega church style. I know they are very slick with media etc.

Try a few churches, I would invite you to mine, but it is Leeds.
