Did anyone take part in Back to Church Sunday?

And if so, how did it go?

We had a little article in the local paper (no pictures)
and DH and I gave out 4 invitations.
only one invitee came - well, it was a family of four, and they brought a friend, so it was great! grin]

quite a few of our normal congregation was missing, but we had 41 over 16 and 3 under 16, when last week we had 37 in total. and i can count at least 6 regulars missing, so we must have done quite well!
there were a few faces I didn't recognise at all.

the invitation only mentions BTCS, but i'm pretty sure it's extended to other weeks! :)

We went to the Cathedral service and the kids played up and I was stressed out of my mind.

Perhaps I should have just gone to Church instead

churches are much better for littlies than cathedrals - but really, when they get used to it, they'll play up less.

Glad it went well nickelbabe. You congregation sound v similar in size to ours.

I usually take part but was away this weekend. However I heard that like yours, a few of our regulars were missing but we had a few newbies too. Don't know how it all went though.
