I feel rather nervous asking this question, but anyway...

Has anyway one heard of this? What are your thoughts? It's actually something I had considered myself years ago. Makes a lot of sense to me.

what is it?

Basically it's the idea that life from other planets has been here already. A long time gao in fact. And that ancient people interpreted what they say in ways that fit their frame of reference. The 'aliens' were thought to be gods.

There are many similarities in ancient texts that are believed by people who subsribe to this theory to tell what happened when aliens landed here. Obviously they were much more advanced than us to have made it here! So they were able to teach us many things, and this accounts for the knowledge which cannot be otherwise explained. (eg. the Dogon tribe believe their ancestor's come from sirius B, which cannot be seen by the naked eye, and in fact was only recently discovered to exist by science.

I am very open to other ideas however I must be honest that I dont really believe this theory. I see to much in the world now to think that "God" or "gods" is something that passed ancient times ago.

I am also open however to our makeup, making us want to believe in certain things. I like to go for the more comforting option though. Life is too short :p
