I'm almost afraid to post this! Anyone going to see the Holy Father? I sadly can't make it and am gutted but DH and the DC's are going to see him in Glasgow. Would have loved to have gone though. I'm sure I'll get all the news from them and we'll sky plus it too.

SleepyCaz,
Speak to your local parish priest, but I'm
not sure if you can get tickets easily now, you have to be part of a parish group, the security is very tight Sad.

sleepycaz - I don't think you can now as we were told that our tickets werent transferable due to secuirty checks. sorry :)

Thank you Captain Nancy :)

excellent cat64 - much as it will be a great occasion, once Mass is over it would be quite nice to go home again.

weather forecast for Birmingham - rain. oh dear! Tomorrow looks good for the Hyde park people :)

Sorry- it has been throwing it down in South Bham this afternoon... and the day started so beautifully.

I'm cautiously optimistic that by the time Mass starts it should be pretty much dry. Not sure about the waiting hours though, dawn looks wet.
hey ho - I have waterproofs and a big enough flask to supply half the coach with coffee.

We leave in a few hours (4.5 eep!) will try and get some kip in a little bit.

Have a wonderful day those who are going :)

How are you all? The Choir was wonderful - well done to all the singers :)
Very very tired now, got back a little bit ago. Was right about the weather Wink

Am now watching the recording of Mass in Glasgow and it was wonderful and uplifting and joyous. I wish I had been there. Have followed the Holy Father throughout his visit via news etc and it has been superb. God Bless the Holy Father.

We saw the Pope by accident! His motorcade went along the A3 on Saturday afternoon en route from (presumably) Wimbledon to Vauxhall whilst we were collecting conkeds on Clapham Common. I was ridiculously pleased - not sure why! (Didn't go to any of the events as we couldn't face the amount of hanging around).

Thats cool onimolap :)

Super exhausted this morning - going to be a day to stumble through til bedtime!

We did get quite wet before Mass Grin. The traffic was really really good. Very well managed. The coaches were given 10 minute slots to depart and we left bang on time with no hold ups to get out. Seriously impressed!
