Now it's getting silly!

Ok, I am researching this house, which I've called Pike Lodge (not it's real name) to try and understand why I might continue to dream of it and have had recurring dreams about it all my life. (See thread below).

Today I find that in the early 1960s this was proposed for the house/gardens/site, from a newspaper in 1964:

Pike Lodge, gives address: a unique lakeside development. Modern town houses planned for the future. Built in Georgian style incorporating every luxury. 2 reception rooms, 3 bedrooms(And so it goes on).

This was before I was born and I had no way of knowing this information.

Now the weird thing is I have dreamt of this exactly! I dreamt that the house was demolished and these faux Georgian constructions were sprinkled about here and there. A mini-estate just as is described! I dream of water, a lake on the front lawn, where there isn't one currently. I dreamt that there was a lake that these faux Georgian homes looked out onto.

I seem to be dreaming about what could have happened to the house . What it's various fates may have been. There was a feeling of sadness about the 'faux Georgian' dream as if someone/something didn't want the original house to be transformed or knocked down in anyway.

Or, if you are so inclined to believe that this is what the reality 'is' in various different 'worlds' and this house/gardens is some kind of 'gate' to another dimension. Please forgive me if this sounds off the clock bonkers (I promise I'm not :)) just had another dream that this was so and musing about it.

Another very strange thing is that I dreamt about a commemorative arch being built somewhere close by but away from the house (I saw people walking by it, etc if you see my thread below) and I have found today that a prominent ex owner of the house had one built for his wife. Could be a coincidence of course.

It's this faux Georgian potential estate dream that has had the hairs pricking on my arms today though!

Any ideas anyone?

Hang on, have I missed an earlier thread?
So, why are you researching this house? are you saying the development was never built, so the original house is still there? In which case, its quite easy for that info to have sunk into your subconscious somehow.
Having said that, dh dreamt several times of a very disticnt house, no idea wheere. Then afew year ago we went on holiday, and it was he hotel we had booked! The freatures he dreamt of were there, but couldnt be seen on the website. only once we got there.

Hi - as you probably have worked out from other thread no way I could have known about potential development.

Not public knowledge as far as I am aware and a while before I was born.

How strange re: your DH! Grateful for any perspective on dreams etc.

Love it, Cortina!
You could write a book about this!

I believe that there are infinite 'alternative' realities, every event on this one means that yet another is created.

I am aware of partners / children I have in these other realities (what 'could have been,' is, somewhere) and it did freak me out but I have got used to it now.

Believe it or not you are perfectly normal.

Thanks, Nemo. I am intrigued about your different 'realities' how are you aware of them?

As for writing about it, I'd love to and sometimes feel that is what I am meant to do but it doesn't flow in story form somehow and can't imagine it as a blog?

Cortina, I'd write it as fact, not a story. Write about you and your experiences at the house, your dreams and your investigations.

A blog might be an idea, I have my sites through Wordpress and you'd be up in moments. If you did have ablog it's just possible that people with info might find you via Google for some reason. You could also use Facebook or Twitter as well.

(will reply on your other thread asap. xx)

Very interesting Nemo, I'd like to hear more, too (and wonder if it makes sense of some things I experience?)
