I obfishly declare the Coast of Coromandel to now be sewn! ;or is that threaded

OH its you, well off you go then...

On the Coast of Coromandel,
Where the early pumpkins grow,
In the middle of the woods
Lived the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Two old chairs, and half a candle,
One old jug without a handle,
These were all his worldly goods:
In the middle of the woods,
These were all the worldly goods
Of the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Of the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

Once, among the Bong-trees walking
Where the early pumpkins grow,
To a little heap of stones
Came the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
There he heard a Lady talking,
To some milk-white Hens of Dorking,
"'Tis the Lady Jingly Jones!
On that little heap of stones
Sits the Lady Jingly Jones!"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

"Lady Jingly! Lady Jingly!
Sitting where the pumpkins grow,
Will you come and be my wife?"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
"I am tired of living singly,
On this coast so wild and shingly,
I'm a-weary of my life;
If you'll come and be my wife,
Quite serene would be my life!"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

"On this Coast of Coromandel,
Shrimps and watercresses grow,
Prawns are plentiful and cheap,"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
"You shall have my chairs and candle,
And my jug without a handle! -
Gaze upon the rolling deep
(Fish is plentiful and cheap) -
As the sea, my love is deep!"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

Lady Jingly answered sadly,
And her tears began to flow,
"Your proposal comes too late,
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!
I would be your wife most gladly!"
(Here she twirled her fingers madly)
"But in England I've a mate!
Yes! you've asked me far too late,
For in England I've a mate,
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!
"Mr Jones - (his name is Handel -
Handel Jones, Esquire, & Co.)
Dorking fowls delights to send,
Mr Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!
Keep, oh! keep your chairs and candle,
And your jug without a handle,
I can merely be your friend!

  • Should my Jones more Dorking send, I will give you three, my friend! Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo! Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!

"Though you've such a tiny body,
And your head so large doth grow,
Though your hat may blow away,
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!
Though you're such a Boddy Doddy -
Yet I wish that I could modi-
fy the words I needs must say!
Will you please to go away?
That is all I have to say -
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo,
Mr. Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo!"

Down the slippery slopes of Myrtle,
Where the early pumpkins grow,
To the calm and silent sea
Fled the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
There beyond the Bay of Gurtle,
Lay a large and lively Turtle;
"You're the Cove," he said, "for me;
On your back beyond the sea,
Turtle, you shall carry me!"
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
Said the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

Through the silent-roaring ocean
Did the Turtle swiftly go;
Holding fast upon his shell
Rode the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo,
With a sad primaeval motion
Towards the sunset isles of Boshen
Still the Turtle bore him well,
Holding fast upon his shell.
"Lady Jingly Jones, farewell!"
Sang the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo,
Sang the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

From the Coast of Coromandel
Did that Lady never go;
On that heap of stones she mourns
For the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
On that Coast of Coromandel,
In his jug without a handle,
Still she weeps, and daily moans;
On that little heap of stones
To her Dorking Hens she moans
For the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.
For the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo.

Funny that, I have had pumpkins on the brain all of today - and whilst at the supermarket there was a stall outside with no attendee nor money box, selling ´pumpkins for the kids´

Paps darling I have come to rest on the shores as advised by my wise sage.

Although distressing we are getting towards amicability and have worked out a plan for the next eight weeks. At the end of that time we are going away to decide how we move forward and we have decided to take things very slowly and keep up wiht the counselling as well. SO am feeling calmer and may even sleep tonight! Hurrah.

I am not mourning on my heap of stones but am gently watching the water lap at the shore and resting on the coast of coromandel. Thank you.

Papillon · 29/08/2005 20:33

I am glad to hear about the stones as the sage had visions of a red headed siren spilling upon them her dewy teardrops.

Perhaps when you have your fill of contemplating the lapping shores you might take a stone in remembrance and healing to lay beneath your pillow amid the Bong trees. I can see one shining and calling to you.

Your plans sound good and thoughtful - I wish you and the children well in this journey ((((X))))

The stone helped Paps it was warm under my pillow and sang to me of better times.

I am in the shade of a bong tree now feasting on jelly and quince.

Papillon · 30/08/2005 12:42

Qunice... yum, although I first read quinine - its the effect the bong trees have upon me.

Those benevolent branches gifted me some special fruits and I have baked some very special muffins.. lets go into the yurt and become one with the fabrics.

HuggyBear · 30/08/2005 12:53

gonna need this one explaining Paps cause im totally lost

glitterfairy · 30/08/2005 12:55

Paps is talking about the old days of the yurt Huggybear! We used to bake cakes containing weed and lie smoking our pipes on persian carpets talking nonsense like the poem below us.

Hiya by the way Paps says I shoudl introduce myself to you.

Papillon · 30/08/2005 13:16

welcome to the Coast of Coromandel Huggy.

come smoke the sage pipe and cleanse our yurt please - then we can sit with the talking stick and watch the waves roll in.

NB:
My teacher the tiger still roams
the woods in the night
he his third eye upon you
but do not take fright
For he does not eat Dolphin
nor unicorn, fairy, bear.
But watch out cos he´s partial
to ladies underwear

merci for the motivation support, boosts my ego for deadline day which looms tomorrow

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 30/08/2005 13:24

Whatever happened to our story paps? I lost sight of it and think it sort of fizzled out.

HuggyBear · 30/08/2005 13:27

LOL Paps

thanks for the welcome.....

Papillon · 30/08/2005 13:29

I was supposed to post.. my turn and have ideas but yes it did fizzle and we both let it swim on without us.. perhaps we could resurrect it sometime, or start another one?

this place is a story in itself!!

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 30/08/2005 13:33

Yes I think a new one sometime maybe not just yet but that would be good to look forward too and this place will be fine and dandy for now.

Papillon · 30/08/2005 20:39

Yes something to look forward to sounds fab!

Cripes those bong muffins were well in need of harvest! I am out of practice and am off dancing with pumpkins along the sea shores. Tie me to the Yurt quick!!

So I am dying to know what insights your guest had this afternoon ´Glitz´- my mind is atwirl

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 31/08/2005 07:04

Aha Had a bong in the other thread nwo feasting on a muffin. Got confused and was here in both IYSWIM.

My guest wonders whether I am comparing apples and pears in two men. He also cautioned me on making quick decisions which I am not and can see the perils of my current relationship. We did a lot of laughing at his relationships though and talked about marriage vows which even though he is gay he says he really meant.

His kids are really sorted and happy and it has been very very good for them to mingle with mine as they can answer some questions about life with two separate parents from a cool and sorted perspective.

melsy · 31/08/2005 22:15

Im in here for a little visit on thr shores. I know Im not here very often if at all lately. I dont seem to be able to make the time to read and ponder anymore. I just wanted to say that Im thinking of you glitter and the wave that you are riding, I hope you come to settled waters in the best way for you and dh.

See theres a little philosophical energy there still, just laying dormant for a while whislt I sort my purpose in life out !!!

I have a very very special spa day booked for me next week, (for my birthday and a gift to myself for all my hard work the last 3mths), to have some peacful solitary time.

Hellooo to paps too I feel humbled at yuor growth in spirit and new energy .I look forward to seeing the final installment of your wonderful story (you gifted me with a viewing and opinion , I was touched)and hiya Huggybear, I was around in the early days when our spiritual place was born.

Goodnight ladeeess , Im in need of slumber , me thinks that the Paps cold has travelled accross the channel to me. May be my empathetic senses are a little less dormant than I think .

Papillon · 01/09/2005 07:55

story should be in your mail box as of yesterday afternoon - did it not arrive?

all fairies, mobile pumpkins and bong sweepers at in my home cleaning before picking up the parents round 10ish.

Nice to see you here Melsy and don´t forget we have a special spa here, cos every day is your birthday here if you it desire it to be.

Glitter I feel what your guest said was very wise. x

glitterfairy · 09/09/2005 14:59

Am having a bad week but seeing the kids soon so that is good. It has been the first week away from each other and I have found it so hard.

Papillon · 14/09/2005 20:13

These transitional stages will be no light journey which is why it is good you and dh are taking things one step at a time. Should reduce overwhelming feelings and confusion.

Thinking of you x

I have had a fab two weeks with my parents and we went for a journey through the Yonghy realms of France and Italy. Baby paps was delighted with all the attention.

Help Paps see thread in relationships. My life has fallen to pieces tonight one step for me a giant leap for him!!!!!!!!!!

OMG am falling apart it is pathetic when after all I had the affair first.

Papillon · 05/10/2005 15:28

The stones are whispering to my spirit - they speak of boundaries, of giving away beliefs and actions that no longer serve our lives in a positive happy way, rather than defending what no longer serves us and makes us feel less than our whole self.

They talk of trust in the self that what we are automatically doing in our "defense stance" is TRULY A GOOD THING. Even if it means losing an old life, it also means making a new life where all the flowers of your heart can bloom.

I understand that defense is a good thing when used impeccably in our lives.

I hadn't seen this thread before!

I always check for Bong Land posts in active convos (on auto pilot) but haven't posted myself for ages..

Glitter I hope you are ok.

Paps you are a breath of fresh air (even through the weed pollution! )

I'm off to look for Belle the unicorn and for a paddle in the sea.. will take a path through the Bong trees

SJ x

Papillon · 12/10/2005 11:04

Thankyou CJ

the weed pollution is my alter ego

Good luck finding Belle, I have often seen her looking for you - she will be pleased to renew companionship. Also a hug for your friend in RL - saw and posted on the thread in MF and think of her and send baby vibes.
