White Feathers question

lionmummy · 29/07/2010 20:36

I lost by baby at 18 weeks this week, has been very traumatic but I have always had a strange feeling about this pregnancy that just didn't feel 'right' or very connected compared to my last 2 pregnancies which led to my 2 lovely dcs. Since about week 7 I seemed to notice feathers everywhere (it sounds crazy when I type this) but someone told me about this being a sign of angels. I now wonder whether this is connected to the pregnancy loss in any way & was interested in any views or similar experiences out there.

I am so sorry for your loss.

My mum believes in white feathers being messages, a sign that someone is watching or looking after us. I do pick up any fallen feathers I see, and keep them in the house. If it comforts you to think that, then go with it.

I am sorry for your loss lionmummy - I've never experienced a loss like yours but after my dad died I would notice white feathers in strange situations, like in the middle of a room I had just vacuumed.

I really believe it means something - to me it does anyway.

I hope someone comes along who can help you more x

White feathers do symbolise angels...If I see a white feather, I always believe that I have an angel nearby.

I'm so sorry you have lost your baby...

Hello, Lionmummy,

White feathers are very much an angel symbol are are reminding you that you can always ask them for help and support at any time.

I am so very sorry to hear about your baby. You may like to call on Archangel Gabriel. He/she (doesn't matter how you see angels) is the Archangel who looks after babies both in the womb and after birth. Some believe that we make a deal as to what we need to learn and to teach in each lifetime, however brief, and I believe that we make this deal with the help of our angels.

From what you have said it sounds like angels were alerting you to their presence and letting you know that they have had you and your little one in their care right from the start.

And the angels are still there for you now, and with your baby.

I hope that this helps.

Spiritmum, thank you for this. This is comforting in many ways. Can you explain ...we make a deal as to what we need to learn and to teach in each lifetime, it sounds interesting?

Hi, Lionmummy,

I believe that when we all choose to come into this life, that our spirit wants to learn certain things, and we also want to teach others through what we experience. So even before we're conceived we make a deal as to what it is that we wish to experience in this lifetime. I don't see it as penance for 'bad karma', but rather a desire on the part of our spirit to learn and evolve as much as possible, and also to be of service to the world.

I also believe that we choose the best mum and dad that we can have for us to live the life that we have chosen.

And because I tune into angels every day (and I know that sounds flakey, I would have thought it was flakey too until I started doing it!) I believe - I know - that our angels are involved in every step that we take, and care for us infinitely.

If I can be of any more help just give me a shout.

Sending you and your loved ones lots of loving energy,

spiritmum.

Thank you Spiritmum, it is comforting to think about that. There was another white feather waiting for me on the doorstep this morning and it makes me smile when I see them now.

I also associate (white) feathers with angels being around, lionmummy, my condolences on your loss.

If you want to explore about angels some more, you could have a look at Doreen Virtue's website, she also has daily angel readings on youtube.

For a english site, this one is great

An amazing book on the subject of pre-birth planning is this one:

Sending you light and love.

Oh, and Diana Cooper of course! :)

Aminata, I know Chrissie Astell. Do you go on her workshops? Smile

So sorry you lost your baby..

I've believed in angels and feathers for a long time..amongst other things.

If i have a problem i'll ask a question then ask to see 3 white feathers as a sign..

If you ever need a parking space ask the angels..it always works for me!

wisteriawoman · 03/10/2010 21:25

Hi
Lionmummy v sorry about your loss - how dreadful. All words seem v inadequate at moments like this.

Since reading this thread a couple of days ago - I've noticed two white feathers in unusual locations. Should I be worried or concerned by this. (I actually do feel a little anxious TBH). Spirit mum can you advise???

As for the parking angel : ever since hearing Gloria Hunniford talking about her late daughter's belief in angels and the parking angel, I've prayed to the parking angel and no matter what I always get a parking space.

Dear Lionmummy, I am sending you lots of love and I hope you are doing OK in what must be such a very very difficult time. I echo what spiritmum has said.
I too believe we each choose our life path before we are born and this is to allow us to experience all that life has to offer, the good and the bad.
I also tune into and speak to angels every day and I receive many signs from them too. I believe they are comforts to remind us that we are not alone and that things that might seem bad now may serve us a purpose (somehow).
My Dad passed away this year a week after my son was born. Since he passed my mum has been finding many feathers, often when she has been having a hard time and they have brought great comfort to her.

One day a few weeks ago I had to get out the back garden to cry as I couldn't stop thinking about Dad and everything that has happened. As I looked up there was a black feather which hadn't been there before. I phoned my Mum, and then my sister to see how they were doing, and in passing mentioned about the black feather. They had both received black feathers since we had last spoke. This is another powerful message, but one of them said 'oh,. I thought it was just white feathers that mattered'. It isn't, the signs can be anything that we notice. Our loved one's can't phone us from where they are, so they have to do their best with what is here in the material world to have us take notice.
Generally anything that we notice like this is just a hello from above x
Love to everyone x
