New puppy and Jab question?

Ok, our lovely labardoddle puppy has had second lot of jabs last thursday. I was told on phone he would be allowed out a week after 2nd load of jabs but when we went vet said 2 week!! His a lively little thing and we feel he needs more room than just our garden and needs to get out with other dogs asap. What would you do? Leave it the 2 weeks, or just the 1 week?

When we got our pup we weren't advised to keep him at home at all, either when we picked him up from the shelter or when he had his final jabs. We didn't take him visiting after we found out at his second jab that he had lice (poor puppy!) but apart from that he was out and about several times a day. Is that because we live somewhere small, or do the vets take a different view her (I live in western Canada). We still had all the standard jabs, plus rabies.

On the other hand they were very disapproving when we said our cats were going to be allowed out of the house.

Oh ignore me. dh just told me that in fact the vet did say that we shouldn't take the pup out, he just didn't pay any attention Luckily the pup is fine, but as we lost two cats to infectious diseases you'd have thought he might have taken him seriously.

my puppy is 7weeks she had her first needle at 6.5 weeks old, the vet told me i am not to take her out not even in the garden tomorrow i have to make a trip to birmingham so would i be ok to take her with me ?
