I noticed it about a week ago and it has got bigger.
It is just under her tail but doesn,t seem to be bothering her in any way.
Its firm but a bit squidgy and looks a bit pink.

Girl rats are very prone to lumps. Most are benign, some are lethal.
Very expensive to remove and removal is not very successful in my experience (they tend to spread or they get terrible post-op complications).

I've had one good, 2 poor and one awful outcomes from having lumps removed. I wouldn't operate to remove again .

How old is she?

have to agree with cantsupinate im afraid. my neighbour had 2 rats who both got lumps and died from them. my rat had a lump and because the vet said it wasn't very good success rate with an operation i decided to see how she got on. she ended up eating it and had to be put to sleep

sorry if too much info but in my experience lumps= not good news im afraid

She needs to go to the vets asap.

Lots of lump removals are very successful on rats, lots of them are just benign and even more are abcesses, please go and get it checked.

Ooh, that's a good point about abcesses, worth checking it's not that, I suppose. None of my rats lumps were ever abcesses, though .

Lump removal is awful; I followed a lot of stories on Fancyrats of what happened when people had lumps off their rats, and I'd say my experience was very typical: about 25% positive outcome and the rest sucked.
