My cat just fell in the loo

Daft beast! She's been trying to get in to the loo for ages but we're pretty careful about leaving the seat down to foil her. However we evidently forgot this evening as I heard a HUGE splash noise. Headed to the bath room to find cat sauntering out as if nothing had happened - tell-tale cat hair on loo seat and she had very damp hind quarters. They're even wetter now as I dunked her in the basin just to try and wash the loo water off a bit. She didn't like that at all - I made the water nice and warm and everything. Ungrateful I call her!

She is so soft though - I haven't got a scratch. A lot of cats would have your arm off for even thinking about that

PMSL!!!!!!!

they're stupid animals even though they do put on a show of bravado!

honeydragon · 24/06/2010 23:58

pmsl at the cat sauntering out as if nothing happened

Northernlurker · 25/06/2010 00:00

She's having to do a lot of fur washing to 'dry' herself out. Of course she claims that's purely coincidence and I made things much worse by dunking her.......

I was PMSL just reading the title!

Our ginger cat used to regularly fall into the fish tank as he tried to jump into the sitting room from the window. He used to look at me most indignantly as if I'd pushed him!

Disclaimer: We now have a lidded fish tank which is no longer beneath a window!

PrettyCandles · 25/06/2010 00:16

She won't do that again in a hurry!

We never left the lid down, and our cat also fell into the loo.

She had tried many times to jump onto the toilet seat, but for some reason she could never get her balance on it. For years she had been jumping up, skidding, and falling down onto the floor. One day she fell inside, and she never tried to jump up onto the loo again.

But I wasn't as nice as you - I just shooed her into the back garden and let her get on with sorting herself out. Mind you, she wasn't like yours, my cat would have ripped me up if I'd tried to wash her.

I was also PMSL just reading the title!

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 00:24

PMSL here too.

They are so not as clever as they let on to be.

They're just so haughty!

They fall off armchairs and everything in here. Oh they're just silly really.

I'm trying to teach mine to say 'hello' and they can't do it. I know it's possible because I've read on here that cats can indeed talk.

Am I turning into a mad cat woman?

differentID · 25/06/2010 00:25

no longer turning into I'm afraid. You are.

Vallhala · 25/06/2010 00:31

Cats can say hello. All 3 of us heard our black and white cat yell (he never whispers, always hollers) HELLOOO a couple of nights ago.

Cue DD2 (13) running downstairs to tell me (as if I didn't hear young bellow-me-lad!) and DD1 (15) falling out of bed with laughter!

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 00:37

Well, they're not responding to my lessons.

They just say miaow(ish).

What am I doing wrong??

Diff - No, please tell me I'm not. I'm too young!

differentID · 25/06/2010 00:40

you're in good company, don't worry.

Quattrocento · 25/06/2010 00:41

Fluah quickly

Monty100 · 25/06/2010 00:51

I've got to become more strict!

That's it, isn't it?

Do you know what bothers me? I so know they talk amongst themselves (ie, 'do you like those biscuits?' 'Yeh I like those biscuits'. 'But shall we shout and get some different biscuits?' 'Yeh let's do that, and then not eat them'. etc etc

grr.

OMG - I AM a mad cat woman.

It's too late for me now isn't it.

Northernlurker · 25/06/2010 08:20

They do talk amongst themselves and here is the proof.

My best friend gave us a book of these pictures - so, so funny.
