I was happy to receive a letter from my HA today giving me permission to get a dog!

That's one hurdle out if the way, just the task of finding a dog now!

I am happy but a little nervous as we are a bit closer to getting a dog now.

I am having (tiny) second thoughts about getting a dog. I think it's because I am scared of the possible heartache that comes with loving a pet. Need to snap out of it, DH and DC want a dog, I'm just worried for no real reason.

You'll be just fine when you find the right one. Start crossing off the days on the calendar until s/he is with you!
