Snapped dewclaw

My greyhound snapped one of front dewclaws this morning. About halfway up it, so a bit above the skin. The top bit is loose and still hanging on.

Doesn't seem to be bothering her most of the time but every now and then she catches it and yelps.

Vet tomorrow or should I snip the loose bit off with nail scissors? Not sure if thats possible?

If the loose bit is really loose and not bleeding then it should just pull off with a little but quick tug. If it looks like it is more firmly attached or if you think it will bleed if you pull the end off then a trip to the vets to get it sorted.
