New puppy is here. We are hoping to crate train him as we will be going camping a lot with him (well him with us but you know what i mean)

He doesnt seem keen on his crate and is only going into it to pee in it LOL

He seems happier to sleep on the floor by the sofa.

He was paper trained before he came here, but so far has only peed in his crate and pooed on the floor.
We havent been telling him off, but just showing him the paper and telling him.

Also i have been told not to walk him outside until after 2nd lot of jabs? Is that standard rules?

hi lisa we got our puppy last week & his crate training is going great , how we started off was putting little treats into the crate (puppy choc drops) & letting him find them , we leave the door of the crate open all day so he can go in & out as he pleases , the crate is his space & my children are not allowed to annoy pup while he is in there (He runs in there for some peace) lol
My pup was also paper trained but we slowly kept moving the paper towards the back door & within 3 days he was going pee & poo out in the back garden so now we leave the back door open for him .
We were given the same advice by our vet about keeping him away from public places until he is fully vaccinated which wont be until 1 week after his booster .
What breed is your pup ?

ours in a labradoddle.
The door has been open all day and been putting treats in there but he goes in finds them, eats them and goes out again but does back to pee.
Guess just better keep going
