Does anyone else´s cat snore?

Mine is happily curled up on her part of the sofa.
Snoring very peacefully.
It´s really cute.
Although sometimes disconcerting when you are alone, the house is quiet & she is hidden from view-and then you hear something!

Mine does.

She hasn't always done it so when she does it is a bit shocking. She is old now bless her.

Yes I´m sure mine didn´t used to when younger.
It seems as if she sleeps really quite deeply now as well.

NorbertDentressangle · 15/06/2010 15:02

Ours does sometimes.

She's getting on a bit though

duckyfuzz · 15/06/2010 15:05

Yes but not as loudly as dh

PestoEatsPasties · 15/06/2010 15:07

yes

bamboobutton · 15/06/2010 15:16

yes, and i can hear it 2 rooms away too.

ShinyAndNew · 15/06/2010 15:18

No, mine doesn't but I won't let him sleep with me anyway, because he purrs incessantly when he near anyone. Even the dog

He sleeps very silently when he is alone though. I have to poke him every now and again just to check he is alive.

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 15/06/2010 16:08

Yes, and my older one miaows in her sleep if she's dreaming. She jerks her legs and twitches alot too- more so the older she gets.

oxocube · 15/06/2010 20:02

Not the cats but the puppy snores terribly!

aleene · 15/06/2010 20:04

Mine snuffles. Tis very cute.

missmoopy · 15/06/2010 20:09

Yes, loudly. She's old and sleeps a lot so it is the theme tune to our house!

DontCallMeBaby · 15/06/2010 23:09

Ours are just babies (1 next Tuesday!) and are the lightest sleeping creatures I've ever encountered, even more than baby DD who would wake up if you looked at her. I swear the cats you just THINK about them and they wake up. Once in a while one is actually fast asleep and I have to make sure it's breathing. Definitely no snoring yet, that's my job!
