AIBU - PetsAtHome's unrealistic expectation

I have just bought a clicker to help with training our lovely brown lab. Now I am the first to boast admit that she is both beautiful and highly intelligent, but I was a bit take aback when I read the leaflet that came with the PetsAtHome clicker.

After discussing how to start clicker training, it moved onto clicker training for basic commands/actions, including walking on a loose lead. The final bullet point reads thus:

  1. Once your dog is behaving in the desired manner every time you perform the action (walking nicely on a loose lead), you can then start to add the command 'HEAL'.

Now, as I said, Coco is both beautiful and intelligent, but I have seen no evidence whatsoever of psychic or spiritual powers. Are PetsAtHome expecting a little too much of a one-year-old labrador? I know they will do most things for an edible treat - but healing? Really??!

WOW - get onto the press, you are in time for tomorrows and Sundays papers.

And can you send her to me, I have a sore back and shoulder today, must have slept in a weird position.

That's classic! I can see you pitching a Revivalist marquee in your back garden now.

Tell you what, if you could get her to do absent healing or whatever it is on Plog and get her sleeping back through the night following being spayed on Tuesday, I'd dig deep in my pockets !

Slubberdegullion · 11/06/2010 13:02

aw poor old Plog.

maybe you ned to clicker train her to Heal Thyself, that or a 'Go back to sleep' command.

sethstarkaddersmum · 11/06/2010 13:05
