Dog Insurance - any deals, recommendations, warnings?

I'm about to re-insure the boys and would appreciate others' advice and experiences. I know that Tesco are pretty good (in fact they'd be very good if their website would actually offer me a quote instead of letting me go through the whole palaver of inputting details only to announce that there's a system error!). I also like the look/idea of John Lewis' Greenbee insurance, but it's quite a bit more expensive than Tesco's at c£20pm for just my 3 yo GSD alone, in comparison to c£13pm with Tesco. So, any other recommendations please?

If anyone knows of any deals, offers, discount codes, or indeed warnings I'd be grateful for their advice.

Thanks.

oh blimey Vallhala, I think I developed a minor tic trying to research and compare pet insurances and filling out a gazillion on line forms to get quotes.

I went with sainsbury's in the end (the top end one) as I thought it was pretty good value (£12 per month iirc) with good cover (and was slightly swayed with the double nectar points too as I'm a sainsbo's shopper ).

Please get a cover for life policy, not one that limits you to a £x per condition or time limit on it and then refuses you cover after that for that particular problem.

What beautifulgirls said. Also, my pet-owning friend had this awful experience with a company called E&L or something ...

Sainsbury's website booted me off too! I've no patience at the best of times, putting in the same info to a zillion websites, only to be booted off and told to start again is NOT amusing! But thank you Slubberdegullion, I'll call them tomorrow morning.

beautifulgirls and OhExpletive, thank you too, you certainly have a point there.

My vet apparently is FSA registered and recommended me to take M&S vet insurance. I had already taken out Animal Friends and he said would I please please change it because they notoriously don't pay out once you have a claim - always some excuse.

Thankfully, yet, I have not had any cause to claim, but then again, my puppy is only 15 weeks old
