My dog is limping.

He has a small cut on the bend of his leg (where a humans wrist would be) but I think the main problem is he has managed to get a wad of chewing gum stuck in between the pads on his foot.

Is there any way to get the gum out myself or does he need to see a vet? if so any idea on how much it will cost?

Thanks in advance for anyone who answers this.

If you can't pick it out then it will need shaving out. Any worries about the cut though better to see the vet.

Cold salt water - salt water to cleanse wound and cold water to harden the gum and make it easier to snip it off (fur between pads).

Thanks the salt water worked we have a limp free dog . I am also sure he was milking it like for eg when I told him off my expensive rug the limp seemed to become more pronounced or if he wanted attention you would swear it needed amputating.

Clever dog - my husband milks injuries when I tell him off!
