Dog hayfever??

Dog has had really red eyes for a couple of days now - green gungy on day one - but now clear of gunge. But still red looking.

ds has had itchy eyes for a couple of weeks now and chemist said maybe hayfever and gave piriton.

Do dogs get hayfever? and any remedies for it - maybe just human hayfever eye drops?

If you have had greeny gunge from the eyes then it sound more like an infection. You should consult your vet for advice before treating with human remedies.

I thought an infection - but it was only 1 day and then disappeared. Just with ds with itchy eyes and I've been a bit sniffly - this year seems worse for hayfever as none of us have had symptoms before.
