I got him when I worked in a vets 9 years ago, he was brought in as an RTA with his eye hanging out [blee I know]. Noone claimed him so i tricked DH into letting us keep him even though we already had 2 other cats. I told him that he was going to be put to sleep if we didn't take him in (even though the vets had operated on him to remove his eye and wire his jaw and had no intention of euthansing him!) Stupid DH fell for it and we aquired our third cat. God, he was a character, as demanding and vocal as a siamese with the sharpest needle-like claws in the universe, which he would mercilessly knead you with - and it always had to be on bare skin. So amazingly affectionate. Greedy. A bit weird looking with his mono-eye. An accomplished hunter. He once brought home a string of (uncooked) sausages and did battle with a wood pidgeon in our kitchen. Louie I still miss you so much.
