Just been phoned to say cat's been hit by a by a car over the weekend. All fine no treatment other than pain killers and obviously being housed by the vets over the weekend.

How much do you think this is going to cost? (obviously relieved she is fine and no serious damage and will be buying big box of chocs for the kind person who found her and took her to the vet)

Hundred or so?

Depends on where you are and whether they had to do any x-rays to prove no broken bones. At my practice west berks you probably be looking at around £100-200.

About £200-300?

Depends where you are in the country.

It was £48 for my dog to see the vet and have an injection and painkillers on Monday.

I would say you are looking at about £50 per night Kenneling fees, plus the cost of xray, so possibly around £250-£300?

Ok well now I'm in a quandry because they didn't give me a bill at all and I was all in a fluff about seeing the cat I forgot to ask! I'm too scared to phone them now based on your quotes here!

250-300 would be my guess. Nothing with my dog ever costs less than 5oo (sewing up cuts on several occasions and 5 days in with a very nasty enteritis thing). Thank god for insurance.

Hope the cat is ok.
