Help my Dog has just eaten Plasticine?

My Dog has just chewed and swollowed a big lump of plasticine!! Does anyone know if this is really dangerous or will it just pass with no ill effects? What can I do to help it pass easier?

DS has eaten plasticine several times. He is about the size of a westie. Its non toxic to people. I think its made from calcium carbonate and vasaline.
