I love my kitten because......

...he's asleep on my lap keeping me warm
...he has melted DS's heart - the way he looks at him and the relationship they have forged is so special
...he's a great distraction for all manner of things - tantrums, avoiding the ironing, prising DD away from trampoline at pre school to go home and see him

I don't know how we'd live without him now and we've had him less than a week.

Why do you love your kitten/cat?

I have two big kittens (ten months). I love one of them because he's so alluringly dense (he hurled himself against the window when he forgot where the catflap is). And because he dashes downstairs to greet me and DD after school, still sleepy-eyed and wobbly from his afternoon nap (he's hilarious, like a drunk in denial 'I's wide awaaake, honest' falls over). And because he brrps in accompaniment to his every move, and chirps when you talk to him. The other one I love because he struts around like the neighbourhood hard man (he weighs about twice what his brother does) but follows me around like a dog, with big Puss-from-Shrek eyes. Oh, and because he gets in the car with me in the mornings and tries to come to work (this is really annoying and really endearing in one big contradictory kitty-shaped package).
