Guinea Pig with the sneezes

One of my guinea pigs was sneezing whilst being cuddled tonight. She has no other symptoms - no runny nose, eyes clear, eating and drinking normally, bodily functions all normal.

Do I need to be concerned or just keep an eye on her? I hate google it tells me that its a respiratory infection and is fatal, there must be less serious reasons for sneezing.

Any advice?

Could just be dusty bedding or hay, or she could just have something stuck in her nose. I would get her checked over though, just to be on the safe side.

I have one piggy that sneezes quite frequently. I think it is just an allergy. Could have been your perfume or something!? But I've been told that you can give piggies small amounts of calpol if they have a cold and also fruit juice for vit c.

could be whatever you are using to clean the cage/hutch?

I've discovered it's the paper bedding, outside with straw and sawdust, absolutely fine, inside with the paper, obviously tickles the nose.

I am now no longer worrying and changed the indoor bedding.

Aww bless! Glad he's over the sneezes!
