I've suggested: Topsy, Bridie, Bess, Nessa, Nell, Dilly etc

He's suggested: Bagheera, Mabel

The kids have suggested: Toffee, Fudge, Sharpay (!), Dory, Peppa,

Any suggestions..... am thinking a non-human name better as less likely to endu up naming her after someones kid or Mother

Mmmmm am mulling Gladys.

Kids yesterday were stuck on Mabel and I have registered her at vets with that name but now oldest kid thinks Bagheera and DH still wants that. I now prefer Mabel.

I have a black lab too! Our new pup is Molly, my old black lab was Ebony.

If your kids like Peppa ( presumably a la pig)
how about Pepper ( black pepper ).Or, we have a black spaniel , were going to call her Layla as it means dark haired beauty but found out her original name was josie ( she 's a rescue from the pound , the people who handed her in first said she was a stray but later confessed she was theirs and told name). So allowed kids to give her a middle name - or two- she is now

My friend has one called Marmite.

Ds wanted us to let our brown lab have puppies, so he could keep a black one, and call her Mia.

I'm considering getting another puppy in a year or so, when Coco is old enough to be sensible and young enough to enjoy the company - and I'd like a black lab called Delilah.
