Hi all

After some help and direction as have no idea where to start. First a bit of history. I have never owned a pet before but am thinking of taking my mums 6 month old Bison Frise (Sp) as she cannot cope... dont want to get into that at the minute (another story, but I am upset she does not want to keep him) and feel this way he is kept in the family although another country, as my sister owns the brother of the dog. ~Any way My kids would love a dog and I have always said no but really want ot help out here. So can I take the dog to England or does it need a dog passport (if such a thing exists but I think I have heard some where it does) also does it need any injections etc. It is up to date with these to date.

I would be very grateful of any help with this. Thanks

We live in NI but are from England. We regularly travel by ferry back and forth with our dogs and no documentation is needed.

Well done for taking on your Mum's dog.

Likewise we travel too and from Ireland and have taken the dog with us on the Ferry in the past. No documents required.
