Help-need to name a black cat with yellow eyes tomorrow!

Picking up our cat(9 months) tomorrow from Cats Protection. We can't agree on a name. She is very petite, all black with the most enormous yellow eyes. (I am so excited!)

Have you ever seen the Carbonel books? The hero is a big black cat called Carbonel (he's black) - may be good for names? The books are lovely too. If you have DD who's a good reader and about, maybe, 9 or 10, she may enjoy them. They're by Barbara Sleigh. Not sure if they're still in print having written that.

Marmite - black an yellow!

We picked her up and sheis gorgeous. The children have named her Purdey as she hasn't stopped purring!! So waiting until we met her was very good advice, thanks.

Topaz

Can someone tell me how often cats use the litter tray. She hasn't been yet but has had tea and drunk water?

If she's an adult cat who's used to a litter tray and knows where it is, I would just leave her to get on with it - if she hasn't used it by tomorrow evening I would be a bit concerned, but don't worry yet. Still think you shoud have called her Topaz!

Purdey is a fab name

Thanks Seeker. I couldn't convince the children with Topaz-I love it too.

Purdey is a great name - but if we had (as we have had before) tabby and black kittens they would definitely be Sootica and Gobbolino.
