Anyone know cheaper alternative to Vasotop or Metacam?

My dog is on Vasotop for a 'fast' heart rate and Metacam just to stop his old bones aching. Trouble is, it is costing a fortune, around £110.00 per month for both. Coupled with one of my other dogs on medication which costs £100.00 per month (for which there is no alternative) it is getting to be a bit much. Does anyone know any cheaper alternatives please?

Forgot to mention that I have looked for these medicines on-line but as they need a prescription, after the charge the vets make for writing the prescription out, the price works out the same. BTW my vet charges around £12 per item for a prescription, is that fairly normal?

The bigger the bottle of metacam you buy the relatively cheaper it gets particularly when you switch from 100ml to 180ml bottle.
There are some slightly cheaper versions of metacam on the market, but not vastop as far as I am aware.
The prescription price is fairly normal.
