Moulting Rex Rabbits

My rex rabbit lives indoors in a cage and comes out every evening for a run round. None of my family have allergies, but when she moults we all suffer with itchy eyes and noses, it is because her fur is soo fine.

After 7 years of owning her I have never found a way of effectively brushing her. Her hair comes out in small clumps, it is so thick and so fine.

How do you brush your rex rabbits? I've tried rubber brushes, metal brushes, "plucking" her and glove brushes. I tend to use the last two options followed by a wet teatowel to damp down the remaining flyaway hairs, but a couple of days later she is all scruffy and moulty again.

Please share your tips with me
