Patch has been in and out of the vets for the last two weeks with vomiting and diarrhea. His faecal swab came back positive for giardia, and we have some tablets (Metronidazole) to give him.
I am quite relieved to have a diagnosis, because each time he has been to the vet, he has been bouncing with a full wagging tail. I'm sure the vet thinks I am very precious about him (which I am ).
Does anyone have any experience of this? I understand that it comes from consuming poo, soil or contaminated water, so does this mean that it will come back (like nits in children)! He is unfortunately a bit of a poo eater - I clear up his own quickly, but he has a quick lick of any poo that he comes across on his walk.
