Infection is a risk.
Also, might nip the rabbit.

hi im a vet nurse, and have all kinds, i have mice in the rabbit shed, and iv had them come running out of the chicken coop, they wont harm the rabbit, they will peacefully together, the mouse is only after food, as long as you wash the cage down when changing it and maybe try and keep food bowl off the floor and attach to cage door, they would come in contact with each other in wild, you have more risk of flies in summer.

thanks whirley, maybe i should find an attachment for the food so i could raise it off the floor.

have no idea where the mice could be nesting had a look but they could be anywhere
