Oh poor woofa. Will VeryNaughty the veterinary nurse be there? Will there be (gulp) thermometers?? I'd send over a box of doggie chocs for the invalid, but I'm not sure they'd be a good idea.

Romanarama · 24/03/2010 16:02

Mine was off his food and puked at the beginning of the dishcloth incident. He was otherwise OKish.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2010 16:25

poor woofa. It may just be a tummy bug rather than anything serious. Has he been ok the other end?

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2010 17:44

seems to be ok now - no pooey accidents thank god - that really would make me heave

any duplo left lying around from the children?
Has he a fetish for dirty underwear/tights?

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/03/2010 18:16

generally not - kids know not to leave small bits around - baby will ignore abut woofa wont

in the past he did eat a few monopoly hotels

but that doesnt mean he hasnt eaten something he shouldnt have .....

poor fella.

GrimmaTheNome · 25/03/2010 18:25

My dog was badly sick once after licking the road after a slurry wagon had passed. Just a quick slurp, but too much even for canine digestion.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 26/03/2010 09:39

Poor woofa - fingers crossed for no more sickness and no need for an x-ray.

Grimma - they really will eat the most disgusting things, won't they? My ddog has sampled (presumeably for comparison purposes) sheep, poo, cow poo, horse poo and her own poo.

Madsometimes · 26/03/2010 11:04

We took Patch to the emergency vet 2 weeks ago because he kept being sick - they did an x-ray but nothing showed up, so they gave him some meds to stop the vomiting. Then a week later he had an upset at the other end for 5 days. So we were back to the vet. It was quite to have to say "Hello, its us again, we're back here."

We have sent off a specimen to the lab because he is still not quite right. He has some special paste to bind his poo, so at least the kitchen does not look like a war zone every morning.

It is horrible when pups are not well. I am extremely well known to the vet now, and he must have me pegged down as a neurotic owner. I do hope Woofa is OK and does not have a blockage.

Bella32 · 26/03/2010 11:37

How is he?

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2010 18:55

poor patch

woofa seems to be ok (touches head) but vet said if sick again will be x rayed

I was told by a 'doggie expert' today that live yoghurt is good for calming dogs stomach's if they're upset.

Madsometimes · 26/03/2010 20:33

Patch has giardia. The vet called today with his test results.
I'm glad Woofa is better, these pups keep us on our toes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/03/2010 14:26

live yogurt?

will rem that thanks
