Can someone advise me on the right thing to do with pregnant cat?

I have two cats, both in heat and now pregnant at the same time.
One of my cats had her kittens on sunday afternoon while we were out and our other pregnant cat ws in the box with her and her kittens when we found them.
We have seperated them now so that the cat can bond with her kittens, and they are all doing fine.

I was wondering if this was the right thing to do as our cat that is still pregnant is crying constantly outside the door for the other cat and she wont settle, they have been together since they were 8 weeks old.

And also will the seperaton affect her, i mean will she settl and have her kittens ok?

Not sure what the right answer is here but if I were you I think I would allow cat#2 in with cat#1 and kittens and see what they do together. If cat #1 doesn't want cat#2 near her and her kittens she will make her feelings known, won't she?

Once cat#2 had had her kittens she will be busy with them anyway. Perhaps they want to be together with their kittens? Really quite an adorable thought actually.

Generally they tend to like privacy and will resent another cat coming near their kittens, but if they don't seem to be bothered maybe let them sort it out themselves, but keep an eye and don't leave them unattended.

I'd also suggest keeping them in and getting them both spayed as soon as the kittens are weaned or else they could get pregnant again immediately. :O

Thanks

I think i'll leave it a few more days and then maybe let her in with the other cat while we are there, thats if she hasnt had her kittens by then....oh and they will be staying and getting spayed asap
