Is this dog amazing?

border collie that knows 340 commands

This dog is obvious pretty unusual to have go this far, but I'm not sure it's so amazing is it? The report implies that the dog is so amazing that her identity has to be kept secret etc. My dog's not a BC but knows all sorts of commands and I've only really just started training him, and I can be very lazy about it some weeks. I'm sure we won't get to 340 words, but I can imagine that a committed owner with a BC or other clever breed wouldn't have so much trouble. The average 15 commands of a "well-trained dog" seems a bit unambitious.

What do you think?

If you take into consideration the amount of combined whistle, voice and visual commands the average working sheepdog understands, no, I don't think it's that amazing!
It's unusual in comparison to most family dogs though

exactly - I was thinking of guide/assistance dogs too, who must know the names of a couple of hundred things.
