The cat is asleep on the remote control and when I felt under her to see if it was there, she hissed at me.

She won't let me have it back!

You have to get up and change channels on the tv.

Scruff of neck - remove cat, take controls, resume seat.

It's a freakin' cat!

just push the cat out of the way. if she continues to hiss at you when you try to do things like that get a water pistol and squirt the cat when it hisses.

She just stood up for a stretch so I grabbed it then.

She might just be a cat but she is an old cat who is ill and has an owner who is way too soft with her.

I always blow very lightly in my cat's face to get them to move. Not as mean as a water pistol or forcibly shifting them out of the way but it always makes them move lol

Glad you got the remote back!!

Drop-kick cat outta the house, ala Tom and Jerry cartoon, return to your TV viewing unhindered.
