Pet Microchips?

We have rehomed a cat but we aren't sure which company she is registered with

I have contacted the old owners but if they don't have the info what do I do?

wouldn't the vet know?

surely if a stray cat was bought into the surgery they would scan it and contact the microchip company?

If you've got the microchip number you can call the microchip companies and they'll tell you if it's one of their numbers.

Petlog is about the biggest one, but some are on Identichip.

The previous owner's vets might be able to tell you which company they use.

There are several registers - makes it all quite tricky..
