DD playing with dogs

My DD loves our dogs to bits (in fact she gets excited when she sees any dogs, even pictures of dogs). She is 8 months old. My question is how can I help her and my dogs to learn to play together nicely?

My dogs are small miniature pinschers. I have 2 of them. She is like any normal 8 month old, she grabs, waves arms, lunges at them, grabs tails etc. and I always supervise play and try to show her how to be gentle. My dogs often run away from her for fear of being hurt, but when they do get in the mood for playing they get a bit rough. They have always played a bit rough but it never bothered me until now because they can't play rough with the baby, even though they are very small dogs.

So please if anyone has any training tips and ideas (for both baby and dogs) I'd be very grateful to hear them. Thank you.

I would say firstly get a crate for the dogs so they can have their own space where they can get away from the baby, and perhaps a baby gate.

Thanks, they have got their special places where they go to get away from us as well as a crate. That's usually where they run off to when they don't want to play
