Does it matter much where on your dog you put flea drops? Don't want dd kissing them off...

Dd is always cuddling, snuggling, kissing our dog and I'm not keen on her ingesting Frontline. Any suggestions how to keep the drops on the dog but not in dd? Could we put them on a less accessible area than the back of the neck?

You put the drops on the base of the neck, between the shoulder blades. Then put the dog somewhere until the drops have dried and he/she is safe to handle.

The active ingredient oil is dissolved into the natural oils in the dogs coat and are then dispersed over the whole body within 24hrs. From then on they work with the dogs own glands to spread the active ingredient oil continuously across the dogs fur for up to two months.

So basically the active ingredient is always present on the fur all over the body once the treatment has been applied and taken effect.

If you are concerned, I think a sensible precaution would be to keep the dog away from dd as much as possible for the first 24 hours after application, by which time it will be widely dispersed rather than concentrated in a single area iyswim.
