This couldn't possibly be dd1's missing kitten could it? And if it is what should I do?

Just been to the shop to see a poster of a found cat, that looks suspiciously like the kitten dd1 lost in October.

I know that kitten, I know it would have stayed outside the house untill it got back in/some one picked it up.

So if it is her kitten it has been lost by someone else aka the person who stole it. It should have been named Houdini. I swear that cat could have escaped from a sealed room.

She still misses her kitten and talks about it daily.

I think you should ring up or go round, and claim it. They may have been caring for it since October? But dd will be so pleased.

Hmm, maybe they have had it since October and have now gotten sick of it randomly attacking them and wrecking their house. T'was not a well behaved, well mannered kitten.

Go and see it. Check it's a girl, see if she seems to know your smell. If you are certain it's yours, claim it and then get it microchipped straight away so this can't ever happen again.

I think I would need to try and find out how they came to own it, and whether they had indeed pinched her - but am rubbish at detective stuff.

It was due to be microchipped the Monday after it dissapeared. It had a collar with id on, so whoever took it, knew it had a home and didn't care. I highly doubt it would have gone far enough to have lost its collar. She was always desperate to escape, but when she did get out all she did was sit on the wall in front of our house untill the door opened again.

Now have a tiny glimmer of hope that DD's lost kitten (lost since August) might reappear.

I don't get it. You lost your kitten. Now someone may have found it. Why wouldn't you just go and see if it's yours? What's to question about it?

Do you have photos of it? Depending on the colouring the photos may help you prove the id of the cat - yes I would go claim it if you think it is her kitten.
