I am going to get a puppy, in May, I know thats ages away but I am very excited. I lose my job in May so we are getting a puppy to stay at home with me, dd's are uber excited, I am already planning everything. We have decided after much deliberation on a border terrier, a girl, and she is going to be called cherry, so come and tell me about your dogs, and your puppies and anything you thinkI need to think about. Or just generally join in my excitement. Oh and I have already bought a collar, and got a crate off my friend.

Ahhh, congratulations!

We got a puppy on the 2nd Jan, she is nearly 16 weeks old now, we haven't had too much hard work with her, apart from the housetraining which is a work in progress!

She is a Staffordshire Bull terrier called Lola, and she is a little monster! She loves nothing more than bouncing around next to our cat, biting Dh's shoes as he walks through the lounge and cuddling up as close as she can get to us in the evenings!

Its like having a crawling aged baby again as she will attempt to eat anything she finds, beads, stones, bits of fluff.....we are forever chasing her to grab something out of her mouth!

You are going to have so much fun!

Enjoy the excitement!!! i have 2 dogs and 3 puppies at the moment! they are only 3 weeks old so not doing alot - yet!!!

I have already started training dd's not to leave hair bobbles and clips and go go's all over the floor. I was dreading giving up work and going back to being a sahm but now I can't wait.

Congratulations

We have had our 8 week old viz for a week now. She started off quiet as a mouse and good as gold and is now too confident

It takes a lot of time, energy and patience. I am exhausted and feeling like I have a newborn again!! But they are worth it

also does your agility club do flyball? am looking for flyball for one of my lads but can't find a local club. You are very local to me!

fruitshootsandheaves · 16/02/2010 23:49

ooh sorry bit late getting back to thread.
Our agility club doesn't do flyball I can ask though because there are some people there who do flyball elsewhere.

I don't have CAT but you can Email me on JMadaboutcats @ aol dot com
