Guinea Pig Bald Patches!

I noticed a few weeks ago that the hair on my guinea pigs' back was thinning. I assumed it was because he's always crawling under his house as opposed to using the door

Then I noticed that the other GP was going the same way (but he does the 'under the house' thing too.

Anyway yesterday I noticed that the thinning hair on one GP had gone almost totally bald! you can feel his little back bone!

He seems happ enough though, still eating (nothing keeps him from his food!) and playing etc.

Why is he going bald??

The only time our GPs ever went bald they had Mange (mites under the skin). The vet can do an injection to get rid of it.

i would take to the vet as if it is mange or mites they can become very ill quite quick my guineas did i got them from rescue centre and didnt know they were ill but one injection and good cage clear out they were and are both still fine
