We have had our two GP since the summer so first winter to deal with. We bought them in to the house full time at the end of November, just aswell with the cold temp and snow etc.

When will it be a good time or them to go back out into their hutch and spend nignts out there ?

Should we introduce the hutch again slowly so they get used to change in temperature ?

The grass is far too wet for them to have a run in the gargen so that is a while off yet , they have space inside where they can run around .

Thanks

I'm going to start putting them out on the grass in a few weeks hopefully when early spring days start (or is that wishful thinking). then overnights from a few days after that. they went out in march last year I think but it was quite warm then

We have ours in the cellar which is quite cool.

So when outside is the same temp. as the cellar.

it was sunny today so put them out on the patio for the afternoon, reckon it'll be ok in a few more weeks
i'll miss them though (dh wont )

Have been wondering about the run aspect, ours are very cramped but have now brought run indoors as I can't bear them being in the hutch all the time.

The ground is very damp still, and it snowed the other day...maybe we can put them out in a few weeks though if the temp improves.

Poor old pigs!
