We are thinking of getting a puppy but it won't be for a good few months. I would like to get a book for my ds who will be 6 in March about caring for a puppy. I have seen one on Amazon by Usborne that looks good but it has no reviews so would like to see if there are any recommendations first.

I see by another thread that Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey came out tops in recommendations so will be getting this for myself.

The Perfect Puppy is a great book. Gwen Bailey also does a book called 'Puppy School' soley about training, which has lots of big pictures (photos) about training, so would be good for your child to understand.

How about a DVD for your son about dog care? We have got a Golden Retriever one that we lend out to families with children who have our puppies. I will find the make, I am sure they do them for all breeds.
