ive got 2 moggies.

they are 5 years old now - one is a proper scaredy cat - jumps at her own shadow but very loving and a bit of a baby.

the other was aloof and a bit frosty - likes to be left alone.
she has gone a bit strange of late - she is being all loving and attention seeking, not like her at all. my last cat did this when she was really ill, she had cancer and had to be pts.

can cats suddenly have personality changes? should i worry do you think?
she HATES the vet with a passion so dont want to stress her out with an unnecessary visit.

Has she been spayed? Cats can get very 'friendly' when they are in season.
If she had a medical problem I would expect to see some other symptoms, she is still young and it's unusual to get anything serious in young cats. Is she eating, drinking and toileting in her usual manner?
If she'll let you examine her as part of grooming or cuddling run your hands over her body to see if you can feel anything like lumps or problems with her skin or fur.
If she seems fine I wouldn't rush to the vets. It'll freak her out and you may feel a bit silly bringing in a cat for being loving (even if it is highly unusual)
Maybe she's just chilling in which case... enjoy it.

i got them both spayed asap, so she shouldnt be in season.

she seems fine, eating/drinking ok -she just seems different.

ill enjoy it while it lasts.

DCat2 still manages to 'come in season' every now and then, despite being spayed as a kitten.

She can get quite flirty sometimes.

If yours seems healthy and happy I wouldn't worry. As you said, no point in stressing her out.

Enjoy the cuddles.
