Did you not know you need to change your sofas to provide contrast???

edam · 23/01/2010 22:05

That's why cats have claws. To help humans learn...

Bleach the poor bugger before you kill him.

ShinyAndNew · 23/01/2010 22:17

Paint bits of him white with tip-ex, then he can be a 'toon army' cat like mine.

Maize · 23/01/2010 22:19

My parents have a white cat and a black cat. You end up sitting/standing on both tbh, they are both very blendy.

edam · 23/01/2010 22:22

I end up treading on mine a lot. Nothing to do with him being black, it's to do with his habit of being just behind me so when I turn round I trip over him.

snigger · 23/01/2010 22:24

There's potentially an element of choice here. Our cat doesn't blend with the upholstery, but she's still pretty damn quick when my nether regions hove into sight.

Gain weight, if you love your cat. You're obviously light enough to make after-crush cuddling worth it.

ShinyAndNew · 23/01/2010 22:25

Ah, yes but if they are black and white, they blend niether with light or dark colours. So I refer you again to my tip-ex sugestion.

the black cat

stleger · 23/01/2010 22:41

When we had a black and white cat he cleverly shed white fur on dark clothes and black fur or white clothes. How are you Sherri?

DontCallMeBaby · 26/01/2010 19:37

Black and white cats are definitely the worst of both worlds for shedding. Good job mine are short-haired or it'd be truly awful.

One of them has more black than the other, and if sufficiently curled up IS practically invisible on the dark blue sofa - haven't quite sat on him yet but it's been a close run thing. He wouldn't stand a chance.

I regularly approach DH's discarded black jumper and speak to it, thinking it is one of the cats.
