just got back from vet re the striped ones cough and she throughly checked him over and couldn't find anything wrong. Heart all fine and healthy, lungs ditto. she did say lymph glands are up a bit but this is just him, they have always been obvious.

So basically we decided that he is just crap at regulating breath in and breath out-probably too intent on chasing to regulate it all properly, and he is supposed to be the bright one .

Good news all round i think, especially fo rmy curly lad who has felt all inferior since the 'intelligent one' moved in! I feel there might be some teasing going on between them now .

Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, am so pleased for you, morethan! It did sound a bit worrying, the way you described it, but that's brill, brill, brill

You have reminded me to go sort some piccies out....

Give them both a hug for me!

morethanyoubargainfor · 21/01/2010 19:31

Thats what i thought, it is really strange adn worrying but atleast its not his heart or lungs, i think it is just attention seeking behaviour!

I will find some piccies as well.

Thank you - yes, my lab's a boy and his eyes are just fab. The little tyrant below is the one who keeps buggering off (she is a bit bigger now!). Not sure I made that pic public - will check

morethanyoubargainfor · 23/01/2010 08:56

she is just gorgeous as well, is she a LAB Rottie X?

she wasn't there when i looked last night, you do have handsome dogs.

Aw thanks, morethan - as do you, as do you!

She's a Dobe - much bigger and much less innocent looking now Probably about the same size as your lurcher - and fast

morethanyoubargainfor · 23/01/2010 09:08

she look like a typical dobe, but then i suppose her coat in fairly light.

Sorry to suggest she was a cross!

she will soon be the same size as the curly lad i reckon! he would love to play with her as most people think he is too big for thoer little pooches to play with! Its simply not true on e of his favourite doggy frineds is a 13lb dacshund JRT X, she is literally smaller than his head .

meant to say she doesn't look like a typical dobe!

They must look so comical together! Don't worry, lots of people weren't sure what she was at first - you don't see that many these days.
How's curly boy doing with his exercise?

morethanyoubargainfor · 23/01/2010 09:29

it is rather funny!

The exercise is going ok-ish, we have reducded him down to 10 mins every 2 or 3 days as he is just so tired, he has to sleep all day to get over a quick visit around the block! Think it will be a while until he can join us on our full walks!

He does seem quite afraid of the 'outside' world, has big eyes and ears are always up. we met a group of people the other day an dhe just stopped stared at them then me and refused to move for a few seconds, and when another dog barked at him through a fence i thought we were going to be home in one jump. He will get used to it all again though eventually hopefully. He is keen o go out so thats good. we haven't met another dog with him yet so will be intereting to see how that goes.

Aw, bless - I'll bet he looks just like a puppy going out, all agog. The walks will be tiring him mentally as well as physically, of course.

He sounds fab

morethanyoubargainfor · 23/01/2010 12:55

a rather large puppy .
