Do you think it's alright to take my dog out?

Well, he's had diarrhea since 5am this morning, and is now just passing a bile sort of substance. He's cadging food from the table at the moment! But I haven't fed him yet, and I don't think I will do until tomorrow morning (try to starve whatever it is that's upset his tum out of him!). He's a picky terrier, so god only knows what he's eaten - he just about eats his own food - never mind anything else!! He even gives up on the food he manages to get off the dc's!!

So do I take him for his walk, or do I treat him as a 'poorly dog'?!

Oh, dh took him for a walk this morning at 7am, nad he seemed fine then. Am I being VERY overprotective of my 'baby'?!!!

As long as he's okay in himself and is still drinking I would starve him for 24 hours, then put him on plain boiled rice with chicken or steamed white fish for another 24-48 hours, gradually reintroducing his usual food.

HTH

Thanks Bella!! I thought an incontinent 5 year old with diarrhea was bad enough, but the dog... blimey, not much fun!!

It never rains but it pours - so to speak
