My puppy has found his woof

He is three months old, and today he has woofed properly for the first time

Is it normal for pups to take their time to find their woof. Up until now, he has just yelped and whined. Is this similar to a teenager's voice breaking?

It's so funny when they do it for the first time, isn't it? The look of shock on their faces, and then they're always so pleased with themselves! I think it depends on the nature of the dog, but it can take them a while - our first dog woofed quite soon after we got her when I was teasing her with a toy to get her to look at the camera, and it shocked both of us! And of course she then kept on woofing for the rest of the day like it was the most novel thing in the world! I've still got the picture I took the split second before the bark, and it always makes me smile! Our second dog didn't woof for the first time until she was about 3 months either - she was joining in with the big dog barking at the window cleaner
