My cat has blood in her poo??

Our cat has never went to the toilet in the house but has done twice in the last two days. She is about 7 or 8 months old and today went in the kitchen sink.

When I went to wash it I saw there was quite alot of blood in it and she had really bad dirohia.

Can anyone think of why it she would be like this?

Also some of my papers were dam but not wet as if she had urinated on them, and smelt of cat wee but there was not enough wet for it to be wee. Could she have been spraying them or something? I thought only male cats do that...

I dont know mch about cats so I'm sure this all sounds very silly...

Has she been wormed, I have a 7 week old and when she came to us she had severe diarohhea and blood, she also had fleas. I wormed her with syrup but it didn't stop, I then noticed a tapeworm so got her tablets and it stopped the bloody poo, she had her first solid poo tonight woohoo!! Hopefully that's all it is, hope she gets better soon xx

Is she vaccinated?

she has been wormed before but not recently...

And no she has not had her injections yet.

Then I would get her to the vet asap in the morning as she could have a very fast acting and potentially fatal disease.

HTH & good luck.

Depends on the colour of the blood. If it's fresh red then it's most likely colitis, not a major deal, but always worth a trip to the vet to check....take a poo sample with you. Colitis is just a dietry issue btw.

She could possibly just have a cut near her bumhole and have eaten something a bit dodgy.

Does she go outside? Is she a bit of a hunter? Do you give her dairy products? Dairy products are too rich for cats and always give them the shits.

How is she otherwise, is she being friendly and normal or is wanting to be by herself and very sleepy?

If I were you I'd take a trip to the vet to be sure.

How is she doing?
