Hi - we've got a 5month old collie cross puppy who is lovely We're feeding her dry food - wainwrights at the moment as we were told it was better for her to have just dry - but have now been told that she should wet food - aagh it's a minefield!

What is best - and not mega expensive?>

Thanks

Lots of good dry foods - Hills, James Wellbeloved, Royal Canin to name a few.
When comparing price make sure you are looking at cost per day - the better quality foods have fewer fillers so smaller amounts need to be fed ( and you get smaller poos).
I've never used Wainwrights but if your dog is doing well on it then stick to that - not good to chop and change.

Chihuahuas are on Royal canin, new pup is on Eukanuba.I dont use wet foods as the poos are just frightening when they have it.

naturediet - a wet food that produces perfect poos!!

my dog has colitis and since he started on naturediet has had hardly any flare ups at all.

Naturediet is very good but pricey (unless you buy in bulk). About 90p a pack.

A collie sized adult dog would cost about £1.80/day on naturediet, and 75p on Hills dry food (assuming you buy the biggest bag of dry food - small bags are eye wateringly expensive).

Thanks so much for that We have currently got a huge bag of dry food so am pleased to hear that it's fine. Loving the talk of different poos!!! Am intrigued ceres what is the perfect one ;)

Thanks again
